Our Story
“Gentlemen, it is the microbes who will have the last word.” - Attributed to Louis Pasteur
Within every facet of Earth’s environments and biosphere a complex microbial ecosystem thrives. The microbial communities beneath our feet, in your field, and under every crop influence nutrient cycling, disease suppression, and most importantly crop productivity. These dynamic communities contain beneficial and pathogenic microorganisms for crops and remain undetected until environmental conditions are favorable.
With the cumulative advances in molecular biology, microbiology, and bioinformatics over the past several decades, we can now study and analyze these microbial communities. Traditionally, you had to wait till symptoms developed or observed lower yields to realize there is soil-borne pathogen or disrupted microbial community.
Rather than wait for these issues to arise, Bio-Mine was founded to make these scientific tools accessible to agriculture.
Our goal is to provide growers, farmers, researchers, and the agriculture industry with reliable diagnostics that support better decisions, increased yields, and lower costs. From early soil-borne pathogen detection to comprehensive soil microbiome analysis, we believe everyone involved in agriculture should have access to these services.
At Bio-Mine, we are combining years of laboratory experience with modern workflows to transform the way you prepare a field for the next growing season.
“It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.” - Tom Hanks, A League of Their Own.
Our Mission
Bio-Mine’s core vision is to deliver revolutionary microbial diagnostic services to help farmers, growers, and researchers make informed decisions. Bio-Mine combines microbiology with modern sequencing technologies to generate rigorous and actionable insights.
